The NAICA Tremont Transitional Housing Program:

NAICA East Tremont Transitional Housing Program (NAICA Tremont) opened its doors on February 8, 2016. It currently serves 154 homeless men with mental health issues. All referrals come through Department of Homeless Services. At NAICA Tremont we provide an array of intensive supportive case services for emotional and behavioral disorders through case counseling services, psychiatric counseling, medication management, medical care, recreation, and housing services.

The goal is to transition the men back to the community and prepare them to live on their own with supportive services to follow.  NAICA Tremont also develops and maintains an extensive resource base for referrals to other programs and services in the community to meet any additional needs of the clients. At NAICA Tremont we ensure delivery for the provision of crisis intervention, and will assist clients with stress management as needed.

Our Objectives:

  • To increase access/availability for individuals in need of transitional housing placement for no more than (6) months.
  • To secure and place identified individuals into safe and appropriate permanent housing.
  • To assess and prepare eligible individuals with the skills/knowledge to secure vocational/employment opportunity for ultimate self-sufficiency.
